The 6-inch Mk 11 gun at Fort Wallace, Stockton was replaced with the 9.2-inch gun prior to the outbreak of World War II. The 6-inch gun was dismantled and moved further along the beach, mounted upon a cruciform base on the sand dunes.
Featured: Sergeant Roy Cleary, Gunner Allan Lock, Gunner Jerry Marshall and Sergeant Harold Taylor.
