Written on VersoContrary to public belief that servicewomen did not bear arms during World War II... many members of the Australian Womens Army Service were traind to use rifles for guard duty.... Here AWAS stationed at 18th Heavy ACK/ACK battery Mayfield NSW relax after rifle practice. 1943.
