Certificate from the Nurses' Registration Board NSW to William Fredrick Kennedy
This document was scanned from the original and part of a collection of mental health related photos and memorabilia that belonged to the late Ms Judy Kennedy. Ms Kennedy had a long career as a Mental Health nurse, going on to be Director of Mental Health (HNEMH) during the 2000s.
The collection includes rare historic photos of nurses and attendants from Gladesville Hospital in Sydney, as well as certificates and letters from the late 1800 and early 1900s. Robert Elphick is mentioned referring to Gladesville Hospital, which at the time was the main mental health hospital in NSW. Elphick helped to establish Morisset Hospital from Gladesville. He was grandfather of the late Judy Kennedy. Other photos show the mental hospital at Morisset Hospital in Lake Macquarie of NSW.
