David Porter commented: Mary's Bistro was named after Mary Maddison who served in the Students Union. She was extremely popular and acted as "Mum" to 100s of students. Her real son was Keith Maddison, Kangaroo 1973, and icon player in the NRL with St George and Cronulla.
