This is the second of two photographs that appear on the last page of The University News, Vol. 10, No. 2, March 2-16, 1984, and refers to the two matches played by University Cricket teams,  the President's XI and the Vice-Chancellor's XI,  against a Hunter Region High Schools team on University No.1 Oval on 20 & 21 February 1984.   The second photo of the President's XI is P647.

Article Text:  "The next day was clear and sunny and the game between the Vice-Chancellor's XI and the High Schools was played on a drying wicket which became hard later in the day.  The Vice-Chancellor's XI batted first and the first six batsmen (all from University's first grade team, premiers last season) scored more than 20 each with the best stand of the session coming from Mr. W. Schultz 53, and Mr. J. Jeeveratnum 32.  The school boys batted second once again, and although Mr. A. Rigby (29), Mr. R. Leggett (62) and Mr. M. Scorer (32) did well, they could not match the subversive team and swing off Mr. R. Stockwell (5 - 45) and Mr. P. Marjoribanks (2 - 49).   The innings closed at 198, I7 runs short."
