Label reads: "This black label wine has been selected as our highest quality classification. It was vintaged at the Estate from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Lower Hunter Valley. Fermented by the Carbonique Maceration technique and stored in 4500 litre American oak casks for six months prior to bottling in September 1985. Recommended for current consumption or short term cellaring. Selection Committee: Len Evans, John Beeston, David Lowe (Winemaker)."
