Label reads: "This wine has been made from Hermitage grapes grown on our Ashman's Vineyard and is the third year of production from these vines. Vintaged in February, 1966, this wine was matured in a 600 gallon German Oak cask until bottling in July, 1967. It is of a Burgundy style, typical of wines made from Hermitage grapes grown solely in the Pokolbin area of New South Wales. With its excellent bouquet, medium bodied flavour and soft tannin finish on the palate, this wine in my opinion will improve greatly with a further two years bottle aging. Murray D. Tyrrell. Winemaker."
