Label reads: "Peter Lehmann 1981 PINOT NOIR Pinot Noir, a relatively new variety in the Barossa Valley, is justly being acclaimed. This 1981 Pinot is an elegant example of the capabilities of this variety - the staple red grape of Burgundy. The sturcture shows a superb balance between the light, but rich fruit character and the French oak in which it was fermented and matured. It is excellent drinking now and will benefit from further bottle age. Gold Medal Adelaide 1981 Class 36 Diploma of Quality Barossa Wine Show 1982 Class 7"
