John Collins Might be a RAF Blenheim...
459 squadron RAAF converted converted to Hudson's in 1942 and didn't see action outside the Middle East (I think). Plenty of RAF crews escaped Malaya and Singapore because of the aircrafts range..
Turn the photo around so I can see the squadron markings and I could tell you..
