Captain Fletcher gives an historical account of customs and maritime services in Newcastle from the early colonial days, he talks about the San Francisco ballast that had some interesting artifacts, was rubble after the earthquake. He also recalls more recent events such as the Signa coming ashore at Stockton in the 1970s.
