Information
Burnie station, looking south. An 'Ab' class 4-4-0 with three side-door cars is departing west for Wynyard. It has just formed the morning 'Workers Flyer' service from Devonport to Burnie and will now travel on to Wynyard, then return to Burnie with school children. At the Emu Bay Railway station platform, the bright cream livery of EBR's railmotor WG1 & trailer car PT2 can be seen, prior to departing for Zeehan, after having waited for any passengers off the 'Flyer'. To the left, one of EBR's Martin 2-6-0 shunters is pushing a rake of 'Z' concentrates hopper wagons - probably empties for the next train south. Source: Melanie Dennis
