The John Turner Slide Collection forms part of the Research Papers of Associate Professor John Turner. The papers were deposited in September 1998 and accessioned in November 2007 thanks to the generosity of the Vera Deacon Regional History Fund. A further consignment of slides relating to archaeological investigations and heritage recording were also deposited by Dr Damaris Bairstow in 2004.

Images in this collection are of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Valley, early colonial Australia and the South Pacific regions.
