Australia & New Zealand History of Education Society (ANZHES) Oral History Collection
The Australian and New Zealand History of Education Society (ANZHES) was established in 1971. Since then the Society has provided an ongoing and vital umbrella for the creation and sharing of research in the field of educational history in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
This oral history collection contains 27 interviews with current and former members of ANZHES who discuss their research and teaching in the history of education. Interviewees discuss theories and methodologies underpinning their research, the evolution of ANZHES and its journal, annual conferences, and links with international scholars and associations in educational history. These interviews were conducted in 2018-2019 by the Society's inaugural Oral History Fellow, Dr Kyle Harvey.
Additional documentation in this collection encompasses the organisation of ANZHES, its conferences, its journal (the History of Education Review, formerly the ANZHES Journal), related publications, and photographs of ANZHES members.
