The certificate is signed by Master P. A. Mason, Senior Warden William Smith, Junior Warden W. [Niddrie], Treasurer Joseph Thomas, Secretary James Chalmers, and signed on right margin by John Gow. "1834" is printed centre top edge. Ribbon is threaded through the certificate. A metal canister is mounted within the same frame, with printed label "PRESENTED TO THE NEWCASTLE MASONIC STUDY CIRCLE BY V. WOR. BRO. RALPH BASDEN ON 7TH FEBRUARY 1966".
