The Ea la Wamanbila exhibtion is now open on Level 2 of the Auchmuty Library, Callaghan Campus. The exhibition presents a wide range of Special Collections material with Indigenous content. Ea la Wamanbila translates to 'Here look, let's go' in Awabakal language. Depending on the context, this can also mean 'let's start something', 'let's start thinking,' 'let's change the way', 'let's add to'. This exhibition aims to adjust the way Aboriginal culture and traditional knowledges are represented, by presenting and questioning western traditional knowledge and value systems.
Let's add to our knowledge and adjust our thinking by weaving together ideas and perspectives and begin the process of decolonising our collections.
