This printed poster was created to raise student awareness of the issues related to Indigenous land rights. There were many changes as a result of ongoing pressure placed on the federal and territory governments by the land rights movement during the period of this collection from the 1970s - 1990s. This included the recognition and protection of native title rights, and the return of lands, to Indigenous communities including mining rights.

On campus, the University established The Wollotuka Institute in 1983 which provides support for Indigenous students, as well as advocacy work for Indigenous education, research and social justice issues.
