InformationThis poster is part of the University of Newcastle collection of posters (1970-1990) that were collected over the decades and housed in Special Collections. This hand drawn poster was created to promote awareness of a film screening and planning meeting by the Resistance Club to be held at the Shortland Union Building in the Ritchie Room, named after Dr Alex Ritchie.
The Resistance Club is the youth wing of the Socialist Alliance which maintains a presence in Newcastle.
Resistance did have a strong presence on campus, as demonstrated by the number of posters that represent them in the University of Newcastle Poster Collection.
