InformationThis poster is part of the University of Newcastle collection of posters (1970-1990) that were collected over the decades and housed in Special Collections. This poster collection reflects the history of Callaghan campus, and are a testament to the enduring spirit of student protest and social change and movements. The collection covers themes like defence, militarization, sexism, women's rights, and LGBTQ+ equality and many more.
This handwritten/photocopied poster advertises a discussion held by the Classics Society about epigraphy, delivered by Professor Osborne of the University of Melbourne. Dr Osborne was a well known scholar in Greek epigraphy and died in 2024.
The Classics Society no longer exists.
