About the original
InformationNow Communion table Methodist Church, Maitland.
It was carved from white beech, especially for Athel D’Ombrain, as a trophy for competition among members of the Sydney Game Fishing Club.
The Last Supper is modeled from a carving in Liverpool Cathedal, and is now the Communion Table in the new Methodist church in High Street Maitland.
Carved from Red Maranti it is 3ft 6" long and 22 inches in height.
