Description

A more mature example shows why the alternative name “Giant Gold Cap” is so appropriate. The huge, somewhat heart-shaped caps have developed a definite golden metallic hue. (Photograph by Gregg Heathcote 29 June 2010 near the southwestern corner of the Shortland Union bridge.)
