"Mr Bill Jones was recently appointed Secretary-Treasurer of the Australian Soccer Referees' Federation.  When he's "at home", Mr Jones is supervisor at the Squash Pavilion, employed by the Sports and Recreation Department.  Mr Jones is the first resident of Newcastle to become the referees' chief administrator.  The appointment is for a three-year term in which he will be the voice of referees in dealings with the National Soccer League and the Australian Soccer Federation."
