See Coalfields Local History Association or Brian Robert Andrews' "COAL, RAILWAYS AND MINES - THE RAILWAYS & COLLIERIES of the GRETA and SOUTH MAITLAND COALFIELDS" Vol 1 - pages 221, 226 and 227.
