hedfram2: The flooding shown in this photo and in another one of the Premier Hotel looking west down a street that is probably Denison Street, Hamilton is reported in the NHM on 19 March 1892. The flooding was quite extensive in the New Lambton--Adamstown areas. At least one fatality was reported: 72 year old Edward Atkinson was drowned in Yates' Paddock between Adamstown and New Lambton. There were numerous water filled pitfalls and creeks in the area. hedfram2: NSW liquor license records list Thomas Williams as the first licensee of the Premier Hotel, Broadmeadow.

UON Library, University of Newcastle, Australia: The following comment was recorded during the Luminate Exhibition held in the University Gallery during September-October 2010. I looked at this building the day of after the Newcastle earthquake. The top floor has been removed.
