russellr50: The Middle Pit was one of the main pumping shafts for Lambton Colliery. The shaft was near the entrance to the Richley Reserve picnic area at Blackbutt Reserve, just off Mahogany Drive.

Mr John W. Shoebridge: Image shows the middle pit pumping shaft, buildings and miners. Exact location is unknown. This area was associated with the Lambton Colliery, June 2009.
