hedfram2: Records reveal that William Dorrity took up the license of the Cardiff Hotel from 11july 1902. He did not hold it for long as George W.Willamson appears as the licensee from 11 july 1903. He also did not hold the license for long.

Kelly Duncan commented: I have a copy of the Newcastle Morning Herald and Miners Advocate from Friday 30 October 1903 which mentions the license of the Cardiff Hotel being transferred from George W. Williamson to my Great, Great Grandfather Matthew Phillipson. He held the license until 1908. This is the only picture I have been able to find. Thank you!
