Caption in The University News, Vol. 3, No. 3, March 24, 1977:   "Commander R.A. Worlidge and the Vice-Chancellor exchanged heraldic shields at the conclusion of a cricket match played at the University on March 11.  Commander Worlidge  played with the team representing his ship, Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia, and H.M.A.S Vampire - winners by 18 runs.  The vessels came to Newcastle when the Queen opened  the new Art Gallery.  A letter expressing appreciation for the University's hospitality has been received by Professor George."

This is one of the photos taken of the Cricket match between the University and crews from the Royal Yacht Britannia and HMAS Vampire on 11 March 1977.  In this photo Careers Officer,Hugh Floyer (in shorts) is 2nd from right and Frank Hawkins is 3rd from right.
