InformationFlickr Commentelizabethp2012: Hello I am one of the girls here, 15 years old at the time. The teacher in the picture taught french or social studies if i remember correctly. Some of the girls names, Roslyn,Sharon, Julie, Shannon. I am 53 years old now. Wickham High Principal was Mrs Hanley and later Mrs Salmon, ran the school like an army regiment. The education system at that time was excellent. The knowledge I acquired here, helped me to progress through the years. Every Friday was sports day and we had a different school uniform to wear, with a gold girdle around the waist. All the sports were available to choose from. Hockey, Basketball, Netball,Squash,Tennis,Softball. In the summer swimming with lifesaving lessons also had athletic day and with other school competitions.
