OZinOH: I think this would be the staff of either Newcastle Boys' High School or Newcastle Technical High School. I went to Boys' High in 1958-1962, and don't recognise any of the teachers, so I suspect it might be Tech High. That was a selective boys' high school on the site now occupied by Merewether High School. UON Library,University of Newcastle, Australia: Thanks again, OZinOH. We believe it to be the staff of Newcastle Boys High School, and have amended the title. However, we have also added the information from the photo frame to the record - it specifies Newcastle High School Staff 1936. merewetherlad: Don't recognise any of the people but I do recognise that wall and windows,. In my day (1968-1973) this was outside the Science Labs - used as a staff car park. Played basketball every Wednesday afternoon next to this wall hoping that we didn't break a window! My vote is Newcastle Boys' High School , Turton Rd Waratah. Was Tech High established in 1936? Weren't Tech Highs a post-WW2 phenomenon?
