geirrosset: I am certain that this is the whaling factory ship "Sir James Clark Ross" (1930), not "Kosmos" (1929). Here's why: 1. The two large masts w. derricks immediately aft of the bridge house were much further aft on the "Kosmos". 2. The "Kosmos" had a central double staircase on the "ground floor" of the bridge house on top of which there were two large winches. 3. "Kosmos" had storage areas on the ground floor either side of the bridge house. In this photo those areas are walled off facing the plan deck. To illustrate: Look at the masts and derricks aft of the bridge house in the following tow photos (also taken during BANZARE).
