Professor J J Auchmuty

APPOINTMENT: 1965 TO 1974

Professor James Johnson Auchmuty was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University of Newcastle.

His role in leading the University of Newcastle to autonomy was reported as being Professor Auchmuty's most significant achievement.
