The view is of the west end of Oxford Street at the junction known as Marble Arch - the arch is just out of view to the left but visible in other shots. The street joining in the centre is Great Cumberland Place. The view must be from the building on the corner of Oxford St and Park Lane that is now the London Marriott Hotel.
