  The view is of the west end of Oxford Street at the junction known as Marble Arch - the arch is just out of view to the left but visible in other shots. The street joining in the centre is Great Cumberland Place. The view must be from the building on the corner of Oxford St and Park Lane that is now the London Marriott Hotel.

  Coincidentally I recently came upon some old negatives belonging to my mother's step-mother whose location I was unsure of. Your pictures confirm them as taken the same day in London, further along Oxford Street opposite the old John Lewis department store. The lamp post decorations and GE banners (for George and Elizabeth) are the same.
