Label reads: "Vintage 1975. Tyrrell's Hunter River Cabernet-Shiraz. Estate bottled. Tyrrell's Vineyards PTY LTD., Pokolbin N.S.W. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker. The 1975 vintage in the Hunter Valley has produced Red wines of outstanding quality similar to those of the now classic 1965 vintage. This wine has been made from Cabernet and Shiraz grapes grown in the Hunter Valley. The grapes were blended 50-50 at the time of crushing. A big soft Hunter style that shows a distinctive "earthy"character and full soft flavour. This wine has a predominately Shiraz character, but has good fruit lift and more fullness on the palate from the Cabernet. This wine will mature fairly rapidly in the bottle. We recommend 2-3 years of bottle aging for the wine to be at its optimum for drinking. ."
