Label reads: "Vintage 1976 vat 94. Tyrrell's Hunter River Cabernet Shiraz Malbec. Estate bottled. Tyrrell's Vineyards PTY LTD., Pokolbin N.S.W. Produce of Australia. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker. This wine was made from a blend of 40% Cabernet, 20% Shiraz and 40% Malbec grapes grown on our Pokolbin vineyards. The wines were made separately and put together after six months. The blend then spent four months in new French Oak puncheons. It shows a deep purple colour and great fruit and complexity of flavour on the palate due to the admission of the Malbec variety. I believe this to be a top varietal style and one that will mature into a classic wine with 4-5 years bottle aging. 750ml."
