Label reads: "Winemaker's selection. Vintage 1975 vat 5. Tyrrell's Hunter River. Dry Red. Estate bottled. Tyrrell's Vineyards PTY LTD., Pokolbin N.S.W. Produce of Australia. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker. The 1975 vintage in the Hunter Valley has produced Red wines of outstanding quality similar to those of the now classic 1965 vintage. This wine was made from Hermitage grapes picked during mid-vintage from our N.V.C. Vineyard which always produces a softer Burgundy style. The wine has a deep purple colour and a full flavour with overtones of the earthy Hunter character. There is a comparatively high level of acidity but the wine remains full and soft and in perfect balance. I believe this to be a truly great wine and one that will develop and improve with a further 5-7 years bottle aging. 750ml."
