Label reads: "Vintage 1974 vat 10. Tyrrell's. Hunter River. Dry Red. Estate bottled. Tyrrell's Vineyards PTY LTD., Pokolbin N.S.W. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker. Picked off the old vines of the Baulkham Vineyards during late vintage. Here, the vines are grown on rich red clay soil that generally produced big flavoured wines. This year the wine is slightly lighter in colour and shows a dry skin character on the bouquet. It has good fruit on the palate and a clean acid finish that will remain as the wine matures. This wine will develop into an attractive lighter style with 2-3 years bottle aging. 738ml."
