Label reads: "Vintage 1979 vat 7. Tyrrell's. Hunter River. Dry Red. Estate bottled. Tyrrell's Vineyards PTY LTD., Pokolbin N.S.W. Produce of Australia. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker. This wine was made from Hermitage grapes grown on the sandy soils of our Long Flat Vineyard. It was picked during mid-vintage, open fermented and then matured in old 500 gallon French Oak casks until bottled. It is a medium bodied wine with soft lifted fruit on both the bouquet and palate which is balanced by a clean acid finish. I believe this wine is more suited for short term cellaring and that it will continue to soften and develop for the next 3-4years. 370ml."
