Label reads: "For over 40 years, utilizing the experience left me by my ancestors, I have studied and worked toward producing quality grapes and fine wines. Care of the vineyards, personally developed fermentation techniques, skilled handling and aging have produced a notably refined wine. As a result of my efforts, the district of Torgiano was among the first in Italy qualified to bear the DOC (Controlled Denomination of Origin) label under the strictly supervised new Wine Law. Rubesco, my red D.O.C. Torgiano, is a smooth and generous wine of deep ruby-red hue. It is mellow but dry and velvet soft. Aging first in oak casks and later in the bottle in our cool cellars results in a round, fruity, well-balanced wine with excellent body and bouquet. Serve at room temperature and enjoy it with red meats, game, hearty dishes and cheese. Dr. Giorgio Lungarotti."
