DescriptionLabel reads: "1836 The Golbourn first crossed by Major Mitchell onto what is now Chateau Tahbilk 1860 Flotation of Company to plant vineyard, and establish cellars 1875"New Cellars"excavated 1879 Became known as as Chateau Tahbilk. 1890 Phylloxera reduced vineyard from 360 to 130 acres. 1925 Purchased by the Purbrick Family1959 Clasified "B" by National Trust of Australia (Vic.) 1960 Centenary Celebration in the presence of the Prime Minister of Australia 1963 Marsanne and Riesling served to Her Majesty Queen during the Royal visit to Australia. 1971 Outstanding Vintage Year.
