Label reads: "Mildara George Dry Sherry Produced and Bottled by Mildara Wines Limited Merbein, Victoria Australia Net 1 PINT 6 FL. OZS"
Community provided information:
Mildara Winery was founded by an American who was familiar with irrigation such as what was set up in the Riverina region before, and following the Great War. Best sellers were their Xeres-style fortified wines locally dubbed “sherry”, I think there were about four or more styles of this. The story goes that the “George” was made for, or possibility inspired by, a family member named George, who was diabetic and who had to avoid high-sugar fortified wines.
