Label reads: "Winemaker's Selection Vintage 1974 Vat 5 Founded 1858 Tyrrell's Hunter River DRY RED Estate Bottled Tyrrell's Vineyards Pty. Ltd. Pokolbin N.S.W. Murray D Tyrrell Winemaker D2404 The grapes were picked early in vintage from our N.V.C. vineyard which always produces a softer Burgundy stlye of wine. This wine shows good red purple colour a full wel balanced palate and soft tannin finish. The Bouquet is exceptionally rich and fruity but shows the underlying earthy character of all wines from this vineyard area. I believe this to be a truly great wine and one that will continue to develop and improve for 3-4 years bottle ageing. 738ml"
