Label reads: "Vintage 1977 Vat 70 Founded 1858 Tyrrell's Hunter River CABERNET Estate Bottled Tyrrell's Vineyard Pty. Ltd. Pokolbin N.S.W. - Produce of Australia Murray D Tyrrell Winemaker D2404 Made from Cabernet grapes picked late in vintage from the Bimbadgen vineyard. The wet conditions of the vintage were suited to the Cabernet variety and the 1977 is best so far made. It has rich purple colour, full fruit flavour and a firm tannin and acid finish. The wine was matured for 12 months in new American Oak puncheons which increased the complexity of the bouquet and palate. Agreat wine of the Claret style that will require 5-6 years to fully soften and develop 750ml"
