Label reads: "Winemakers Selection Vintage 1973 Vat 9 Founded 1858 Tyrrell's Hunter River DRY RED Estate Bottled Tyrrell's Vineyards Pty. Ltd. Pokolbin N.S.W. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker D2404 The 1973 Vintage has produced wines of outstanding quality. This wine was made from our four acre vineyard which is the closest to the Winery. The grapes were picked late in the vintage resulting in big full-bodied wine deep in colour. This wine recieved six weeks maturation in new Nevers Oak Hogsheads following vintage which has added complexity and balance to the big tannin finish. The Wine will need 3-4 years bottle ageing. 738ml"
