Pokolbin N.S.W. - Produce of Australia Murry D Tyrrell Winemaker D2404 This wine was made from Hermitage grapes from our eight acre vineyard and picked after the heavy rains had begun. The fruit was in very sound condition, but the sugar was slightly lower than is usual which has resulted in a lighter more delicate style than in past years. A small percentage of the wine was matured in German Oak Puncheons. The wine shows strong berry character and perfect balance of fruit and tannin with a hint of oak on the finish. This wine will develop and improve with a further 3-4 years bottle ageing, but has the potential for long cellar life 750ml"
