Label reads: "Winemaker's Selection Vintage 1972 Vat 9 Founded 1858 Tyrrell's Hunter River DRY RED Estate Bottled Tyrrell's Vineyards Pty. Ltd. Pokolbin N.S.W. - Produce of Australia Murray D Tyrrell Winemaker D2404 The 1972 Vintage in the Hunter Valley has produced wines of good quality. Made solely from Hermitage grapes grown on the oldest part of our Ashman's vineyard. I have personally selected this as top wine of this vintage. Excellent balance of fruit and tannin and a typcal soft Hunter style finish. A wine that will mature with 3-4 years bottle ageing 738ml"
