Label reads: "This wine was made to the classic Sauterne style from Semillon and White Shiraz grapes grown in the Hunter Valley. The grapes were left out for a considerable time at the end of vintage to obtain the maximum sugar level. The sugar laden juice was allowed to ferment slowly until the fermentation was halted at approximately 9.5% sugar. The base material for this wine was vintaged in 1972 and has been matured in new Oak hogsheads for three years. This was blended with wine from the 1975 vintage to increase both freshnes and lusciousness of the final blend. I believe this is a fine dessert wine and one that will improve with proper cellar ageing. Murray D. Tyrrell Winemaker."
