Label reads: "Winemaker's Selection Vintage 1977 Vat 5 Founded 1858 Tyrrell's Hunter River DRY RED Estate Bottled Tyrrell's Vineyards Pty. Ltd. Pokolbin N.S.W. - Produce of Australia Murray D Tyrrell Winemaker D2404 This wine was made from Hermitage grapes from the N.V.C. Vinyardand picked during the extreme heat early in vintage. These grapes were high in acid and sugar and have produced a wine with bigger richer fruit flavour than in past years. The wine has been matured only in 500 gallon French oak casks. It shows good purple colour and a delicate balanced palate. I believe this to be the top wine of the vintage a true Hunter Burgundy style with many years of life. 370ml"
