Label reads: "Estd. 1877 McWilliams's Private Bin 1966 CABERNET SHIRAZ McWilliam's Wines pioneered the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Riverina district of New South Wales in 1960 and the first Cabernet-SHIRAZ was released from the 1965 Vintage. This wine, which was made during the 1966 Vintage and which is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 53% Shiraz, has even more Cabernet character than the 1965 wine due to the Cabernet grapes having been harvested from more matured vines. With its pronounced varietal flavour, good colour, excellent balance and firm tannin finish it possesses the classical Claret style. It was matured in limousin oak and bottled in July 1968.
