Label reads: "SAINT CLARE HERMITAGE 1966 "The Clare district of South Australia has a reputation for fine table wines."When Jim Barry showed this wine from his own vineyard I could only agree with his statement. This wine possesses a deep ruby colour with the distinctive varietal nose, things which can only be acquired from the soil of Clare. I liken it to dark chocolate. The Flavour is full, soft and generous, showing good wood storage. A wine that is an excellent example of the district and one that merits further bottle age to bring it to full maturity. J.H.
