SummaryInterview by Jennifer Gregory in 1987 with Mary Calcott who worked at the Working Women's Centre at Mayfield in 1975. Today the centre is known at the Hunter Women's centre. Mary describes how the centre was established, mostly through International Women’s Year initiatives in 1975 supported by both the Whitlam and later Frazer governments.
